[ Jaw set, he looks over at Dean. Minnie comes over and sits squarely on his feet. ]
That's... That's how it starts. The Wonderland Apocalypse.
[ alright, okay then, doggy welcoming wagon aside, dean notes the less than peaceful appearance of sam's room-- and sam himself. it all comes with good reason too, apparently, and has dean sighing as he wanders closer. ]
Two words I never really wanted to hear together.
[ his eyes pass over sam's notes, but there's too much, and really-- the answer isn't gonna be in there, he thinks. ]

We can make a plan. Crowley-- [ But he stops short, remembering how he'd himself wanted to keep Dean out of any mention of bait and a plan to trap the thing... at least for now. Quickly, he redirects: ] ... Mentioned that he thought there was something more we could do, but I haven't gotten more info out of him. I think it'd be worthwhile to meet with Philip, James... whoever's been here longest. And the biggest Resistance players.

Yeah? Don't trust Crowley, Sam, you know better. [ meaning: let him deal with crowley -- or make a deal with crowley -- and then keep you out of it, alright? alright. but as for the rest of it, dean nods. ] Sounds good though. They're bound to have some ideas on how to tackle this thing.
If only. [ You'd think that, yes, one enormously catastrophic almost-end of the world would be enough. But, no. Never enough. ]
I don't trust Crowley. [ He frowns, crossing his arms. ] But that doesn't mean I won't hear the plan. Because any plan's better than nothing, and honestly, he's pretty far from our biggest concern right now.
Maybe, but that doesn't mean he won't turn right around and try to throw you or anyone else under the bus when he feels like it. Part of getting through this means actually still breathing once that thing's dead and gone.
[ he wants to avoid any of that heroic sacrifice bullshit for once, just once, and see them both -- and everyone else -- alive and well after the fight. not that he thinks they'll get through all this completely unscathed, but he knows sam, and sam's always ready to throw his life away for others. ]
I know, Dean. [ "Still breathing," right. They'd come back to life no matter what happened, even if they reached five deaths... as proven by Phillip so recently. What's the point, then, he thinks, despite himself. ]
Just wanted to let you know before this all gets started up. [ He shifts, shrugging in a tired sort of way. ] It won't be the last you hear about it.

Hey, we'll figure this out alright? One way or another, that thing's never chewed on Winchesters before and managed to kick us out of the game permanently. We'll bury it one way or another.
